Job summary

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. seeks an Engineering Student for our Toronto District, working in Trenton, within our Canadian Buildings Division. Positions are available for 4 or 8 months starting January 2027.

You will contribute by coordinating drawings, trades, and schedules, producing as-built drawings, and supporting site logistics. Proficiency with Primavera P6 EPPM and AutoCAD is expected, along with solid computer skills and a drive to grow in a construction environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating drawings, work scope/trades, trade quote reviews – verify material quantities, verify hours, verify rates, deficiency walks etc.
• Participating in project meetings.
• Inputting / Updating deficiency logs and issuing warranties.
• Taking / Coordinating progress photos, and updating field drawings.
• Producing as-built drawings.
• Performing quantity takeoffs, coordinating and supervising sub-trade work and.
• Verifying site conditions and coordinating with drawings.
• Setting-up / Maintaining record keeping.
• Layout site lines and grades using total station.
• Creating manual schedules, updating schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software, maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCAD.
• Obtaining scheduling information from sub-trades and updating project schedules.
• Monitoring workforce productivity.

The estimated hourly range for this role is $21.37- $31.33, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
