Job summary

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is seeking an Engineering Student for our Toronto District, available for a 3-month assignment starting October 2026.

The position will be based at the Rogers Centre project in Toronto, offering hands-on experience in coordinating drawings, schedules, and field activities. You will collaborate with trades and project teams to produce as-built drawings, support quantity takeoffs, and maintain documentation using AutoCAD and Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating drawings, work specific scope / trades, trade quote reviews – verify material quantities, verify hours, verify rates, deficiency walks etc
• Participating in project meetings
• Inputting / Updating deficiency logs and issuing warranties
• Taking / Coordinating progress photos, and updating field drawings
• Producing as-built drawings
• Performing quantity takeoffs, coordinating and supervising sub-trade work and
• Verifying site conditions and coordinating with drawings
• Setting-up / Maintaining record keeping
• Layout site lines and grades using total station
• Creating manual schedules, updating schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software, maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCAD.
• Obtaining scheduling information from sub-trades and updating project schedules
• Monitoring workforce productivity
