Job summary

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is seeking an Engineering Student for our Sudbury, ON project site within the Canadian Buildings Division. The role is available for 4 or 8 months starting January 2027, in Toronto District with responsibilities across drawings, field coordination, and progression updates.

You will contribute to the team by coordinating with trades, updating field drawings, and producing as-built drawings, while gaining practical experience in a construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drawings, work scope & trades; review quotes, verify quantities, hours and rates.
• Participate in project meetings and update deficiency logs.
• Take and coordinate progress photos; update field drawings and as-built drawings.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and supervise sub-trade work as needed.
• Verify site conditions and coordinate with drawings; layout site lines and grades.

We are seeking anEngineering Student, for ourToronto District to work fromSudbury ON,within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for4 or 8 months starting January 2027.

As anEngineering Studentand depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities

• Coordinating drawings,work specific scope / trades,trade quote reviews – verify material quantities, verify hours, verify rates, deficiency walks etc
• Participating in project meetings,
• Inputting / Updating deficiency logs and issuing warranties
• Taking / Coordinating progress photos, and updating field drawings
• Producing as-built drawings
• Performing quantity takeoffs, coordinatingand supervising sub-trade work and
• Verifying site conditions and coordinating with drawings
• Layout site lines and grades using total station
• Obtaining scheduling information from sub-trades and updating project schedules

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.

The estimated hourly range for this role is $21.37- $31.33, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
