Job summary

PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. is seeking an Engineering Student for our BC Region within the Canadian Buildings Division. The position is available for 4–12 months starting in January 2027 and reports to the Project Manager.

This role involves coordinating drawings, reviewing quantities and participating in project meetings. Ideal candidates have an interest in construction, basic drafting skills, and familiarity with Primavera P6 EPPM and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating drawings and work specific scope/trades/sub-trades.
• Conduction of trade quote reviews by verifying material quantities, hours and rates.
• Participation in project meetings.
• Completion of deficiency walks and updating of deficiency logs.
• Issues warranties.
• Takes/coordinates progress photos.
• Updates field drawings and produces as-built drawings.
• Performance of quantity takeoffs.
• Verification of site conditions and coordination of drawings.
• Set-up and maintenance of records.
• Project schedule updates and creation of manual schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software.
• Creating and maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCAD.
• Monitoring of workforce productivity.

Pay Range: $22.26-$27.30

PCL Student wages are determined individually for each student based on the number of completed school terms, relevant work terms, kind of role and work location.
