PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. in Richmond, BC is seeking a Virtual Construction Student for the BC Region within our Canadian Buildings Division.

This internship runs 4–12 months starting January 2027 and will be supervised by the Manager, Integrated Construction Technology. You will support field teams with plan visuals, draw crane and hoist drawings, assist with model coordination and laser data processing, and promote adoption of virtual construction tools across project teams, under

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or pursuing a degree in architecture, architectural technology, construction management, civil engineering, or a related AEC discipline.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Eager to learn, innovative, and adaptable to new technology trends and processes.
• Able to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Collaborative and team-oriented, able to build relationships with project stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solver with strong communication and time-management skills.
• Growth mindset and openness to contribute and learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist field team in developing key plan visuals for construction schedules and site logistics.
• Generate tower crane and man/material hoist working drawings.
• Support model coordination and clash detection using Revizto or equivalent.
• Process and analyze laser scan data and survey outputs.
• Build and update virtual construction models from plans and elevations.
• Aid in site logistics modeling and trade-partner model coordination.
• Assist with model updates, submissions, and document control.
• Promote adoption of virtual construction tools across project teams.
• Attend and contribute to project or coordination meetings.

Here’s how aVirtual Construction Studentfor PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. within BC Region contributes to our team:

• Assist field team in developing key plan visuals for construction schedules and site logistics: site safety, access, trailers, temporary power, hoists, crane swing, and demolition.
• Generate tower crane and man/material hoist working drawings (plans, elevations, sections).
• Support model coordination and clash detection using Revizto or equivalent platforms.
• Process and analyze laser scan data, point cloud registration, working with survey team outputs.
• Build and update virtual construction models from plans, specs, and elevations under supervision.
• Aid in site logistics modeling and trade-partner model coordination.
• Assist with model updates, submissions, and document control as needed.
• Promote adoption of virtual construction tools across project teams.
• Attend and contribute to project or coordination meetings

• Enrolled in or pursuing a degree or diploma in architecture, architectural technology, construction management, civil engineering, or a related AEC discipline.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit.

Pay Range: $20.14-$24.70

PCL Student wages are determined individually for each student based on the number of completed school terms, relevant work terms, kind of role and work location.
