Job Overview

We’re currently hiring an Engineering Project Manager on behalf of a well-established client in Barrie, ON. In this role, you’ll lead the development, design, and execution of multiple civil engineering projects from concept to completion. You’ll manage a team of civil technologists, handle contract and drawing reviews, and oversee MOL applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong construction background, 3–5 years of Canadian civil engineering experience, and a solid command of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Salary: $90,000–$95,000 annually

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Review Statements of Work (SOW), volume/cost calculations, and execution schedules
• Manage multiple AGC projects from planning to closeout
• Handle technical contract reviews, tender specs, drafting, and material orders
• Oversee staffing and scheduling for project installations
• Address engineering issues during and after completion
• Approve engineering reviews, project designs, QA documents, and manuals
• Ensure compliance with design and procedural standards
• Stamp Ontario and interprovincial drawings as a licensed engineer
• Conduct site inspections and feasibility assessments
• Mentor and guide a team of civil technologists
• Align project designs with technical, safety, and operational requirements
• Work closely with the Director of Engineering to improve technical processes
• Support annual planning and budgeting activities

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO QUALIFY:

• University degree in Civil Engineering
• 3–5 years of Canadian civil engineering experience
• Valid Professional Engineering registration in good standing
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Ability to travel to the USA as needed
• Excellent blueprint reading skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project management tools
• Background in the construction industry preferred
• Proactive and detail-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
