Job summary

CAE Inc. in Montreal is seeking an Engineering Manager, Operations Support to lead a team of mechanical and electrical engineers, ensuring resources meet operational needs while sustaining strong relationships with internal customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or College Diploma) in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in team leadership, management, or supervision.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Power BI.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and supervise the Operations Support team by planning, organizing, and managing departmental activities to achieve optimal results and performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Manufacturing Engineering and Operations, managing the escalation of operational issues.
  • Define, develop, and implement the vision and strategic direction of the Operations Support department.
  • Oversee day-to-day Operations Support activities to ensure service commitments and performance objectives are met.
  • Establish, manage, and monitor budgets related to Operations Support activities.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and lead the implementation of process enhancements across the organization.
  • Act as a technical expert, guiding the team through complex problem-solving situations and managing project-related risks.

Engineering Manager, Operations Support

Engineering Manager, Operations Support is responsible for leading a specialized team of mechanical and electrical engineers. This role ensures the team has the necessary resources and support to effectively meet operational requirements while maintaining strong relationships with internal customers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and supervise the Operations Support team by planning, organizing, and managing departmental activities to achieve optimal results and performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Manufacturing Engineering and Operations, managing the escalation of operational issues.
  • Define, develop, and implement the vision and strategic direction of the Operations Support department.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or College Diploma) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in team leadership, management, or supervision, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Power BI.
