Job summary

VCA Canada is seeking a full-time Veterinary Receptionist, Client Care for Calgary North Animal Hospital & 24-hour Emergency Service on a fixed-term contract. This role includes some evenings, weekends and overnights to support the hospital team.

Create a warm, welcoming environment for clients and their pets. You will manage a multiline phone system, book appointments, respond to emails, admit and discharge patients, and handle invoicing and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Customer service or front desk experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming environment for clients and pets.
• Answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments.
• Place outbound calls for follow-up and future bookings.
• Respond to and manage email correspondence from clients and internal staff.
• Admit and discharge pet patients.
• Invoice and process payments; create estimates with owner confirmation.
• Schedule appointments and maintain reception area cleanliness.
• Support veterinary staff with various tasks as needed.
