Job summary

Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking Emergency Medical Services - EMT/PCP to respond to emergency and non-emergency events, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons within the provincial guidelines.

The role requires licensure with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level and ongoing adherence to clinical protocols, with shifts including days, nights, evenings and weekends in Kindersley.

Qualifications

• Primary Care Paramedic certificate from an approved educational institute.
• Valid Class 4 driver's license.
• ITLS certificate.
• CPR certificate.
• BLS certificate.
• Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency events.
• Provide assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons.
• Operate according to The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and bylaws; SHA policies and work standards.
• Report to Manager or designate for the area of province they are working in.
