Job summary

The Saskatchewan Health Authority in Macklin is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic for casual, on-call coverage with shifts including days, nights, evenings and weekends. Reporting to the Manager, you will respond to emergency and non-emergency events, assess and treat patients, and transport them according to provincial acts and SHA policies.

A PCP diploma with a valid Class 4 license and ITLS, BCLS and CPR are required; strong interpersonal and communication skills,

Job Description: Reporting to the Manager or designate for the area of province they are working, the Emergency Medial Services - EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events, and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice protocols; The Paramedics Act and bylaws; and Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures and work standards.
