Job summary

A regional health authority is seeking a part-time Emergency Medical Technician to respond to emergencies and provide care to individuals in need. This role requires a Primary Care Paramedic Certificate and a Class 4 driver's license. Successful candidates will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to handle high-stress situations effectively. CPR, BLS, and ITLS certifications are also mandatory. This position offers an opportunity to make a difference in the community while being part of a dedicated healthcare team.

Qualifications

  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care.

Job Description

Reporting to the Manager or designate for the area of province they are working, the Emergency Medical Services - EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and bylaws; and Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures and work standards.
