Job summary

Halton Healthcare’s GH Emergency Department is seeking a Patient Care Manager to lead daily operations, clinical program priorities, and professional practice at Georgetown Hospital.

Reporting to the Director of the Emergency Program, the PCM will foster teamwork, recruit and develop staff, manage budgets, and build partnerships with EMS, police, and health system partners to deliver exemplary patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing Degree and active registration in Ontario.
• Masters degree or substantial completion preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership in a hospital setting.
• ED clinical experience preferred and strong budgeting skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and change management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the GH Emergency Department with a focus on safety and quality.
• Lead clinical program priorities, staff development, and fiscal accountability.
• Build partnerships with EMS, police and health system partners to advance system improvements.
• Hire and develop staff, foster teamwork, and sustain patient- and family-centered care.
