Job summary

Halton Healthcare's Georgetown Hospital Emergency Department in Halton Hills seeks an experienced ER nurse. The role involves assessing and treating adult and paediatric patients, triage, and in-charge responsibilities within a 24/7 multidisciplinary team, including physicians and clinicians.

Applicants must hold current Ontario RN registration, BLS with Heart & Stroke approval, and ACLS certification; prior ED experience is required.

Qualifications

• Current RN registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Heart & Stroke Approved BLS Provider Card upon hire.
• Previous Emergency Department experience required.
• Experience in triage and in-charge responsibilities required.
• ACLS certificate required at time of hire; course may be needed within one year.
• OC/ED related certifications (TNCC/ENPC/PALS) assets; ECG interpretation preferred.
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.

Responsibilities

• Functioning interdependently with multidisciplinary team in the ED.
• Assess needs and provide treatment to adult and paediatric patients in ED.
