Job summary

Medicine Hat Public School Division is seeking one (1) Temporary Full-Time, 12-month Success Coach to continue the work of our MyPlace program. The position focuses on school-based addiction and mental health promotion for children, youth, and families, within a school-based team.

The role builds capacity by delivering developmentally appropriate programming, facilitating workshops, and providing resources to promote student, staff and community mental wellbeing. Start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Diploma in health or social sciences is an asset.
• Knowledgeable about addiction and mental health services.
• Valid class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• First Aid, CPR, and child protection checks current.
• Excellent organization, teamwork, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate mental health programming.
• Deliver workshops and educate students, staff and families.
• Work across multiple schools and flexible hours for events.
• Connect families to community resources and supports.
