Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies is seeking an Electronic Field Technician to support our New Brunswick and PEI region. The role covers installations, calibrations, commissioning, service and repair of machine control systems across heavy equipment.

Work may be in the field or in a workshop environment. You will perform diagnostics on electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic subsystems, with strong emphasis on safety, customer service, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant field service experience.
• Electronics college/university/technical trade program required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel to sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, diagnostics and repairs on electronic devices and components.
• Open, maintain, and close work orders.
• Submit technician reports and information based on work performed.
• Provide internal and external customer phone support.
• Mentor, train, and supervise other service team members.
• Travel to customer sites as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Brandt is currently seeking an Electronic Field Technician for our New Brunswick and PEI region.

This position is responsible for performing installations, calibrations, commissioning, service and repair of various machine control systems.

These machine control systems consist of electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic components and are installed on most makes and models of heavy equipment including but not limited to crawler dozers, motor graders, excavators, skid steers, paving systems, etc. These duties may be performed in the field or in a work shop environment.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Performing inspections, testing, diagnostics and repairs on electronic devices and components
• Opening, maintaining, and closing work orders
• Submission of technician reports and other relevant information based on the type of work completed
• Internal and external customer phone support
• Mentoring, training, and supervision of other members of the service team
• Travel will be required
• Other duties as assigned
