Job summary

Brandt is seeking an Electronic Field Technician for our Surrey Positioning Technology location. The role involves installing, calibrating, commissioning, servicing and repairing electronic, mechanical and hydraulic components on heavy equipment in field or shop settings.

Candidates should have 2+ years of relevant work experience and a background in electronics, with strong communication skills and a focus on safety. Travel will be required and opportunities for training are offered.

• A college, university, or technical trade program in electronics.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to operate field service tools and equipment safely.

• Opening, maintaining, and closing work orders
• Submission of technician reports and other relevant information based on the type of work completed

Job description

Brandt is currently seeking an Electronic Field Technician for our Surrey Positioning Technology location.

This position is responsible for performing installations, calibrations, commissioning, service and repair of various machine control systems.

These machine control systems consist of electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic components and are installed on most makes and models of heavy equipment including but not limited to crawler dozers, motor graders, excavators, skid steers, paving systems, etc. These duties may be performed in the field or in a work shop environment.
