Job summary

Brandt is seeking an Electronic Field Technician to support our New Brunswick and PEI region. You will perform installations, calibrations, commissioning, service and repair of machine control systems on heavy equipment in the field or shop.

The role requires a college/university or technical electronics program and 2+ years of relevant work experience. Travel is required and you will join a team that emphasizes safety, learning, and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, testing, diagnostics and repairs on electronic devices and components.
  • Open, maintain, and close work orders.
  • Submit technician reports and relevant information after work.
  • Provide internal and external customer phone support.
  • Mentor, train, and supervise other service team members.
  • Travel will be required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Brandt is currently seeking an Electronic Field Technician for our New Brunswick and PEI region.

This position is responsible for performing installations, calibrations, commissioning, service and repair of various machine control systems.

These machine control systems consist of electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic components and are installed on most makes and models of heavy equipment including but not limited to crawler dozers, motor graders, excavators, skid steers, paving systems, etc. These duties may be performed in the field or in a work shop environment.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Performing inspections, testing, diagnostics and repairs on electronic devices and components
  • Opening, maintaining, and closing work orders
  • Submission of technician reports and other relevant information based on the type of work completed
  • Internal and external customer phone support
  • Mentoring, training, and supervision of other members of the service team
  • Travel will be required
  • Other duties as assigned
