Job summary

Brandt is seeking an Electronic Bench Technician for Calgary to install, calibrate, commission, service and repair machine control systems with electronic, mechanical and hydraulic components. Work may occur in the field or in a shop.

Responsibilities include inspections, testing, diagnostics, report submissions, and supporting customers by phone. Travel is required and mentorship of the service team is expected.

Qualifications

  • A college, university, or technical trade program in electronics.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
  • Ability to safely operate required equipment.

Description

Brandt is currently seeking an Electronic Field Technician for our Calgary location.

This position is responsible for performing installations, calibrations, commissioning, service and repair of various machine control systems.

These machine control systems consist of electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic components and are installed on most makes and models of heavy equipment including but not limited to crawler dozers, motor graders, excavators, skid steers, paving systems, etc. These duties may be performed in the field or in a work shop environment.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Performing inspections, testing, diagnostics and repairs on electronic devices and components

  • Internal and external customer phone support
  • Mentoring, training, and supervision of other members of the service team
  • Travel will be required
