Job summary

Alberta Health Services seeks an Electroneurophysiology (ENP) Technologist I to perform EEGs and EMG tests, with responsibilities including patient instruction, data preparation, and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

  • Active or eligible for ACMDTT registration.
  • Successful completion of CBRET or BRETC examinations or equivalent.
  • English language fluency to meet ACMDTT policy.
  • Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform EEG recordings (standard and complex) or EMG/NCS as assigned.
  • Observe patient changes during testing and interpret findings with physician input.
  • Prepare, update and maintain patient records; ensure proper operation of equipment; perform maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Inform physician of urgent results and resolve unusual or complex cases; train junior personnel and support in-service training.
  • Travel to other adult acute care sites in the Calgary Zone as required.
