Position Overview:

This position is responsible for installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment, including switchgear wiring. The successful candidate will be based at our Edmonton Power Systems facility and will work on a Monday - Friday, 5x2 shift schedule.

Job Description:

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment
• Assist in fulfilling our customer service commitments
• Load testing
• Generator setup, testing, troubleshooting, and repair
• Load bank setup, testing, troubleshooting, and repair
• Automatic transfer switch setup, testing, troubleshooting, and repair

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Electrical Red Seal
• Minimum five years of electrical experience
• Team player capable of working with minimal supervision
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; a commitment to safety

Assets:

• Previous H.D. Mechanical experience or certification
• Previous power generation experience in backup or prime power applications
• NGR experience

Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement.
