Responsibilities:
  • Lead and participate in electrical projects.
  • Lead and participate in multidisciplinary projects.
  • Production and authentication of engineering documents.
  • Design of electrical systems, mainly in the heavy industry.
  • Conduct technical studies:
    • Load flow.
    • Protective coordination.
    • Arc flash.
  • Prepare calculation notes, write specifications and technical reports.
  • Prepare designs and specifications related to the following items:
    • 120 V, 600 V, 4.16 kV, 25 kV power distribution.
    • Power supply of various motor loads.
    • Heating cables.
    • Grounding.
  • Prepare engineering proposals and estimates.
  • Develop business relationships with clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
  • Member of a provincial Professional Engineering Association (APEGA, APEGS, and/or EGBC).
  • Minimum 8-15 years of experience in heavy industry/plants.

You are the one we are looking for if you have:

  • Good knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Experience in consulting engineering and/or heavy industry.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Experience in medium and/or high voltage (asset).
  • Experience in hazardous locations (asset).
