Job summary

JRG Electric Ltd. in Surrey, BC, is seeking an experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team on a range of commercial, residential, service, and renovation projects.

You will read blueprints, install and troubleshoot systems, and coordinate with clients and other trades while upholding safety and high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician certification or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, wiring methods, and safe work practices.
• Ability to accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with conduit bending, panel work, troubleshooting, renovations, and electrical installations.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Professional, dependable, and committed to high-quality workmanship.
• Experience working in active construction and service environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams, and project specifications.
• Complete wiring, conduit installation, panel assembly, equipment connections, and system upgrades.
• Diagnose electrical problems efficiently and recommend practical solutions.
• Perform renovations, service upgrades, and replacements of existing electrical infrastructure.
• Work with commercial, residential, industrial, and low-voltage systems.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other trades to keep projects running smoothly.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials, and service findings.
