Cobalt Refrigeration is seeking a Journeyperson/Apprentice Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across industrial and commercial sites in Abbotsford, Canada. Qualifications

  • Journeyperson/Apprentice Electrician with industrial experience.

  • Ability to work on construction or renovation sites.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems according to codes and safety standards.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson/Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various industrial and commercial sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, a thorough understanding of electrical codes, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced electricians to apply their skills in diverse projects, including renovation, construction, and industrial settings.

Responsibilities
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in accordance with electrical codes and safety standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring and system layouts
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform electrical work efficiently
  • Work on low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation components
  • Assist with renovation projects by upgrading or replacing existing electrical infrastructure
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance
  • Collaborate with project teams during construction or renovation projects to ensure timely completion
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and record-keeping purposes
Skills
  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician or similar role with a solid understanding of electrical systems
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage wiring, PLCs, and automation controls
  • Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, and multimeters; adept with power tools for heavy-duty tasks
  • Experience with construction sites or renovation projects is highly desirable
  • Maintenance Person skills that support troubleshooting and minor repairs across various systems
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while adhering to safety protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Experience with fire alarm installations is an asset.
