Job summary

InterPro Pipe + Steel is hiring a skilled Electrician for our Camrose facility near Edmonton. In this full-time role, you will inspect, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and equipment to keep production running smoothly.

You will read schematics, work with PLC systems (Allen Bradley), perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, document service activities, and collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Electrician certification/license required.
• Experience with PLC control systems, Allen Bradley preferred.
• Strong understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• CMMS experience (Oracle eAM or similar).

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery and electrical systems.
• Diagnose electrical and control system issues efficiently.
• Read schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical blueprints.
• Work with PLC control systems, including troubleshooting and basic programming.
• Inspect motors, sensors, relays, drives, panels, and automation equipment.
• Ensure safety regulations and electrical codes compliance.
• Support production equipment uptime and minimize downtime.
• Maintain maintenance and service records.
• Panel wiring and control system maintenance, motor and drive servicing.

Job Description And Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity awaits at our expanding Interpro Camrose facility! We’re seeking a skilled and experienced full-time Electrician to join our growing team.

In this hands-on role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by inspecting, repairing, and maintaining critical electrical equipment.

• Read and interpret schematic diagrams, wiring drawings, and electrical blueprints
• Work with PLC control systems, including troubleshooting and basic programming knowledge
• Inspect motors, sensors, relays, drives, panels, and automation equipment
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and electrical codes
• Support production equipment uptime and minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
• Routine preventive maintenance, electrical inspections and testing, equipment troubleshooting and repairs
• Panel wiring and control system maintenance, motor and drive servicing
