Daily Responsibilities at Edon

1. Perform electrical repairs and maintenance in accordance with electrical code specifications, including assembling, installing, repairing, testing circuits, troubleshooting faults, and replacing components.
2. Assist with electrical preventive maintenance, including fire alarm inspections, maintenance, repairs, and emergency light testing.
3. Address building and client issues through facility improvements.
4. Read and interpret drawings and electrical codes.
5. Respond to service requests and emergencies promptly.
6. Follow Edon’s Quality Management System policies and adhere to OHS legislation and regulations.
7. Build and maintain good customer relationships with client contacts.

Qualifications for Success

1. Hold a Journeyman Electrician certificate in Alberta.
2. Possess Airlift and Fall Arrest certifications.
3. Have a valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract.
4. Minimum four years of operational experience in facility operations.
5. Ability to read technical plans and drawings.
6. Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
7. Proven judgment skills under pressure.
8. Own basic electrical tools for building maintenance and repairs.
9. Experience with electronics installation (security systems, cameras, data lines, BMS control systems like Metasys and Siemens) is a plus.
10. Experience with fire alarm certification, IR scanning, HVAC electronics, and lighting control systems is advantageous.
