Job description

Agilus is recruiting for a Journeyman Electrician in the Heavy Equipment Industry in Edmonton, Alberta.

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for conducting on-site electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic troubleshooting to determine causes of equipment malfunctions and establish necessary repairs using visual inspection, test procedures, and appropriate test equipment.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on equipment and hoists at customer locations. Be available for "on call" service as part of the service rotation and provide after-hours support as required.
2. Conduct post-repair audits prior to work completion, ensuring all safety features are functional or documenting deficiencies with a deficiency tag.
3. Document findings and provide corrective recommendations during safety reviews, including written notes on any observed or known safety concerns.
4. Consult with customers regarding repair and safety issues, discuss recommendations to improve productivity, and determine items requiring quotation.

Requirements:

• A recognized trade qualification as a Journeyman Electrician or Journeyman Millwright.
• Good driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer interaction skills. Ability to work overtime or as required by customer operations.
• Troubleshooting and repair aptitude.
