Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Chemical Engineer for a reputable chemical producer in Kimberley to join the Quality Assurance team. You will develop and implement QA procedures, analyze product data, and investigate deviations to safeguard product integrity.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry and 3–5 years in QA/QC within the chemical or pharmaceutical sector, with ISO 9001 knowledge and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
3–5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within chemical/pharmaceutical industry.
Thorough understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.
Experience with analytical testing methods and statistical process control (SPC).
Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain QA systems and procedures for chemical manufacturing processes.
Monitor production and finished products for compliance with specs and standards.
Analyze quality data, identify trends, and investigate deviations/non-conformances.
Collaborate with production, R&D, and regulatory teams to resolve quality issues.
Conduct internal audits and support external regulatory inspections.
Manage product release processes and maintain QA documentation.
