Job summary

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is seeking an Electrical Planner (Permanent) to support the Operations and Maintenance Department in Churchill Falls. You will plan and schedule short-term work, coordinate outages, crafts, materials, and drawings to ensure timely, cost-effective completion of work orders, while promoting safety.

Qualifications

• Completed Electrical or Electronics Technology Program or related journeyperson certification.
• Five (5) years of experience in the certified trade after certification.
• Modules 1, 5, 6, 7 of Maintenance Management Professional Certification or Carver MPE&S 402 program.

Electrical Planner (Permanent)

Location: Churchill Falls

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible to perform detailed short term planning and scheduling for the Operations and Maintenance Department, monitor all work requests and arrange outage schedules, crafts, materials and required drawings/manuals to ensure work orders are complete in a timely and cost-effective manner. All other duties as assigned.
• You will be responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation’s Safety and Health Program. You will also be responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.

What You’ll Need:

• You will have successfully completed a recognized Electrical or Electronics Technology Program or an Industrial Electrical Journeyperson’s trades certificate related to the maintenance and operation of a Hydro Electric Power Plant. You have five (5) years working experience in the certified trade following certification.
• You have also successfully completed Modules 1, 5, 6, 7 of the Maintenance Management Professional Certification program or the Carver MPE&S 402 Program.
