CENTRIX CONTROL SOLUTIONS in Kelowna, BC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical, instrumentation, and controls design for water and wastewater projects. The role involves developing detailed electrical designs, panel drawings, network layouts, and integration of PLC/HMI/SCADA where applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD drafting and design for municipal tendering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design & engineering of electrical, instrumentation, and controls for small to medium projects (e.g., sewage lift stations, water pump stations, treatment plants).
• Develop single-line diagrams, block diagrams, cable schedules, layouts, conduit routing, and distribution equipment selection.
• Develop control panel designs with BOMs, wiring diagrams, and terminal block layouts.
• Complete network design for controls networks and external network access; design starter panels (Across-the-line, soft starters, VFDs).
• Develop AutoCAD specification/drawing sets for municipal tendering.
• Provide project support and quality checks; respond to contractor questions; perform field reviews; support engineers-in-training and junior engineers.
