Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Electrical/Controls Engineer for the Water Tech division in Oakville, Ontario. You will drive design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment solutions for industrial and municipal clients, collaborating across disciplines to ensure accurate designs, timely deliverables, and compliance with budget and quality standards.

The role requires 3–5 years in electrical engineering related to water/energy sectors, a Bachelor's in Electrical/Control Engineering, and

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' electrical engineering experience in water treatment/oil & gas/chemical/power.
• Bachelor's in Electrical/Control Engineering.
• French/English bilingualism in speaking and writing is a strong advantage.
• P.Eng license or candidate for the engineering profession (PEO in Ontario, OIQ in Quebec or another Canadian province)
• SAP, MCC design, valve/instrument selection experience.
• Knowledge of NEC, UL508A, CSA standards.
• Excellent planning, communication, and teamwork skills.
• At least 10% travel (between Oakville to Montreal).

Responsibilities

• Generate and approve critical engineering deliverables (P&IDs, diagrams, load lists, specifications).
• Design control panels, power distribution systems, control system architecture.
• Manage vendor selection, procurement, project scheduling.
• Apply expertise in hazardous location classification, design standards, cable routing.
