Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to contribute to the evaluation, design, and management of building projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge systems, collaborate across disciplines, and develop sustainable, energy-efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering consulting, including system evaluations and technical recommendations.
• Design and oversee electrical systems such as building automation, emergency power, power distribution, incoming electrical service, and lighting systems.
• Prepare detailed designs, drawings, and specifications for tendering.
• Develop documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Conduct construction reviews to ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage contracts and coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Lead project management activities to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines for seamless project integration.
• Stay updated on industry standards and technologies to deliver innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility.
• At least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering consulting, focusing on building systems.
• Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Canadian Electrical Code, and relevant standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
