Job Description
We are hiring an Embedded Linux Field Engineer to expand our reach in mission-critical industries like Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco, as well as Consumer Electronics. We seek candidates who are accomplished Linux professionals, passionate about Linux, proficient with containerization, system debugging, and related skills. This role offers a unique and exciting opportunity.
The server edition of Ubuntu is widely used in connected devices and industrial PCs. Our Ubuntu Core edition is at the forefront of security and resilience for high-end appliances and equipment, serving global brands in consumer and industrial electronics, automotive, and robotics. We are expanding our offerings to enhance security, management, and developer experience in small Linux environments and devices, including new real-time Linux capabilities and certifications. Our portfolio aims for Linux to be reliable, secure, and developer-friendly.
This role requires a blend of skills: strong Linux knowledge, coding and scripting proficiency, experience with low-level Linux boot, BIOS, firmware, embedded software development, and adaptability to diverse client engagements. Successful candidates will be result-oriented, team players, and dedicated to delivering the best solutions for our partners and customers.
