The Minnesota Department of Corrections is seeking an Electrical/Electronics Specialist to lead an IP crew in maintenance, installation, and supervision of electrical systems and security-related installations at Moose Lake facility.
Responsibilities include service, training, and installation work on fire alarm and related control systems, while ensuring tool and equipment security. Strong emphasis on safety and compliance with state policies.

To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all of the minimum qualifications listed below. You must be registered with the Department of Labor and Industry as a Class A Journey or Master Electrician
The completion of pre-placement physical components may be required prior to hire for this position. These components consist of a physical examination, a drug test and/or tuberculosis screening. The selection process may include screening the top candidate(s) on their criminal history, predatory offender registration, offender associations and/or other applicable background information in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy.
Employment history/reference checks, including incidents of sexual harassment, will also be conducted on the top candidate(s) in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. This may include a review of job performance and discipline records.
New employees will be fingerprinted within the first 30 days of employment.
