This position serves our partners at the Department of Public Safety (DPS). The MNIT DPS team provides technical support to an agency dedicated to prevention, preparedness, response, recovery, enforcement, and education. The team manages a large number of applications to serve 15 diverse public safety divisions located across Minnesota.
As an Agency Operations Specialist, you lead the coordination of customer service and financial support between MNIT Enterprise, MNIT DPS, and DPS divisions. It serves as the department expert for IT purchasing, overseeing commodity acquisition processes and assisting with contracts as needed. Responsibilities include reviewing quotes, invoices, and supporting documents, resolving financial discrepancies with customers, vendors, and staff, and supporting budget planning, fiscal management, and strategic financial analysis. The role uses business intelligence tools to produce executive‑level insights.
This individual will participate as a part of the MNIT@DPS Leadership Team and works closely with the CBTO and will manage special projects as assigned. This position also assists the CBTO with daily administrative tasks and/or assigned projects and is a resource to coordinate office wide needs.
