Qualifications

Base pay range

CA$42.00/hr - CA$46.00/hr

Position Summary

A regional Field Service Technician will perform activities for Orange EV Vehicles in the British Columbia Metro Vancouver region. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, analyzing vehicle data, recording service activities, collaborating with customers and third-party providers, providing technical support, performing upgrades, and managing tools and parts. The role involves planning and executing a regional service strategy with the Service Team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles effectively at a systemic/component level
• Represent Orange EV professionally
• Use remote monitoring and record-keeping systems to prioritize and plan services
• Accurately document all service activities
• Prioritize repairs to meet service goals and customer needs
• Communicate with customers and third-party providers for diagnosis and escalation
• Coordinate with site managers and electricians on charging infrastructure
• Evaluate vehicle candidates and prepare reports
• Support customer technicians and third-party service providers
• Conduct operator orientations and maintenance training; support sales and business development
• Travel as required, including daily travel and initial training

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Redseal Journeyperson Truck Transport Technician, Heavy Equipment Technician, or Automotive Certification
• Minimum 5 years' experience in truck, Heavy Duty, or Automotive repair
• Experience with hydraulic, power, and air brakes; frames, steering, suspension; HVAC
• Asset: EV vehicle, battery, charging experience
• Strong safety focus, ability to travel, clean driving record
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, TEAMS)
• Customer service skills, troubleshooting, multitasking, goal setting, communication skills
