Job description

As a Sr Advanced Hardware Engineer (EEE Components Engineer) here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role on a cross-disciplinary team that specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of novel, state-of-the-art optical and science instruments for military, government, and commercial space applications, including Earth observation, atmospheric monitoring, space situational awareness, maritime traffic monitoring, and optical communications. You will be integral in the design and selection of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical components for aerospace applications. Your expertise will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Kanata, ON OR Cambridge, ON location.

In this role, you will impact the development of advanced Space systems by ensuring the integrity and performance of EEE components.

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and CSP security clearance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Evaluate and select appropriate EEE components for aerospace applications based on performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with design teams to integrate EEE components into new and existing systems.
  • Conduct failure analysis and reliability assessments to ensure component performance throughout the product lifecycle.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor\'s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in EEE components engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with high-reliability products and industries (. aerospace, avionics, defence, space, medical devices).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with component testing and validation methodologies.
