Job summary

Avon Maitland District School Board (AMDSB) is seeking a Staffing Officer for the Human Resource Services department at the Seaforth Education Centre. 35 hours per week, year-round, with a salary range of CAD 65,452 to CAD 76,225 per year and Level 4 classification.

The role focuses on staffing activities across schools and administrative offices, HRIS management, data reporting, and support for annual staffing processes. A criminal background check is required.

Qualifications

• Two-year college diploma in Human Resources Management or related field.
• CHRP designation is an asset.
• Minimum of five years of related professional experience in HR, preferably in education.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain key HR programs such as absence management, HRIS, and staffing platforms.
• Manage staffing activities from postings to interviewing and candidate communication.
• Prepare staffing documentation and ensure accuracy for distribution.
• Support annual staffing processes for the upcoming school year across employee groups.
• Field inquiries on collective agreements, terms of employment, and procedures.
• Pull data and prepare reports for ministry and board submissions; assist with budgeting data.
• Respond to data errors and coordinate with HRS and Payroll.
• Provide general office support and handle inquiries and correspondence.
