Summit Search Group is representing an established North American manufacturing organization seeking a hands-on Plant Manager to lead the Edmonton facility’s day-to-day operations. The role emphasizes floor-level involvement, strong team leadership and adherence to safety, quality and performance standards.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in manufacturing/industrial operations with leadership responsibility, a solid safety background and practical equipment maintenance knowledge.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing/industrial operations experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong background in workplace safety and safe operating practices.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial equipment, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing production teams, scheduling, inventory and shipping/logistics functions.
• Ability to coach, motivate and hold employees accountable while maintaining a constructive team environment.
• Continuous improvement mindset focusing on operational efficiency, quality and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of plant operations including production, maintenance, shipping/receiving, logistics, inventory and admin functions.
• Maintain a visible presence on the production floor, providing direction and support to staff.
• Champion safety and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Oversee production planning, labour scheduling, equipment reliability and maintenance activities.
• Lead and develop employees, ensuring accountability for performance and safe work practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality and overall plant performance.
• Manage inventory, materials and shipping processes to support customer requirements and business goals.
• Collaborate with corporate leadership and support teams to achieve operational objectives.
