Job description

The Unix Systems Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity and efficient operation of IT infrastructure by providing hands-on pro-active Unix server administration.

Responsibilities:

1. 5 years hands-on experience in a high availability production enterprise networked environment.
2. Experience with WebLogic, Solaris and Sun Hardware.
3. Solid in-depth understanding of DNS, WINS and TCP/IP.
4. Demonstrated experience installing, maintaining, operating, tuning and troubleshooting complex operating systems and applications.
5. Extensive experience with Windows server implementation and maintenance including experience with systems planning, security management and general best practices.
6. Working technical knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, SNMP, Shell Scripting.
7. Knowledge of data privacy practices and laws.
8. ITIL Foundations Certificate.
9. Familiarity with Cisco PIX Firewalls, VPN, switches and routers.
10. Familiarity with Windows Server Operating Systems including interoperability solutions.
11. Familiarity with SAN storage solutions.
