The Proposal and Contract Manager manages all phases of the proposal development process in response to requests for proposals (RFP) from Indero's clients, as well as all contractual aspects of a project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
More specifically, the Proposal and Contract Manager must:
- Lead the RFP response activities at all stages, including launch meetings, RFI responses, and internal requests for CRO, vendor, and clinical fees.
- Analyze assigned opportunities based on information from the business development group, synopsis, RFP documentation, and internal data. Prepare initial timelines, assumptions, estimates, and gather final or pending information necessary for proposal completion.
- Prepare the financial estimate of the proposal using budgeting tools, seek input from subject matter experts, and finalize the proposal budget, timelines, and scope. Complete sponsor-specific bid grids when required.
- Prepare and finalize proposal documents, consult with the broader BD team for strategy and content, and gather contributions for the proposal document.
- Prepare startup agreements (SUA) upon project award.
- Prepare full scope work orders (FSWO) and estimates based on protocol and final scope, obtaining final timelines, assumptions, hours, costs, and clinical fees from the project team.
- Estimate out-of-scope work throughout the project lifecycle and prepare change orders as needed.
- Propose improvements to proposal and contract processes and budgeting tools.
- Produce high-quality, well-structured written products from various sources.
- Produce submission-ready proposals and agreements.
- Provide status updates to leadership on timeliness, progress, quality, and major issues or risks.
Requirements
Ideal Profile
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Business in a relevant discipline.
- A Master’s degree is an asset.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of successful experience in clinical research within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CRO industry, including CRO operations and financial project management.
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience with RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, bid grids, etc.
- Excellent command of English grammar, spelling, composition, writing, editing, and oral communication.
- Ability to write persuasive narratives, draft error-free, timely proposals, and clearly explain technical requirements.
- Strong mastery of Excel and proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with multitasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and applicable Health Canada and FDA regulations/guidelines.

Work Location
The successful candidate can work remotely from anywhere in Canada or from our Montreal headquarters, in accordance with company policies and public health directives. Occasional visits to Montreal may be required or encouraged.
