Qualifications

We are seeking a Senior Relationship Manager in Calgary for our Commercial team (formerly connectFirst CU). As a Relationship Manager, you'll manage a portfolio of commercial loans and deposits, focusing on sales, service, and growth. Your commercial and agriculture experience will help you build strong relationships with members, the retail branch network, local business owners, and professionals.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to maximize Small Business and Commercial Loan growth, deposit growth, and cross-sell peripheral products.
  2. Proactively build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective members.
  3. Stay informed about lending and deposit services, products, policies, and legislation.
  4. Maximize portfolio growth, including loans and deposits.
  5. Develop and submit renewal applications.
  6. Recommend rates within discretionary limits and approve loans within authority.
  7. Evaluate loan requests based on policy, risk, and profitability.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive lending and Commercial Banking experience.
  • Proven ability in credit granting and sales of Business Banking products over 3-7 years.
  • Experience in business development, underwriting, compliance, and portfolio management.
  • Ability to develop relationships with members, community leaders, and colleagues.
  • University degree in a business discipline or equivalent experience.
