Job description

Sr Informatics Sales Manager

Waters is looking for a Informatics Sales Manager to lead our North American Informatics sales team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a team of dedicated sales and support professionals while working for a company passionate about delivering benefits to customers, employees, community, and shareholders.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, results-oriented leader with proven ability to motivate and develop a field sales and support organization. They should proactively identify and resolve problems, control costs, and maximize sales team efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Direct sales and support for Enterprise Informatics revenue, including achieving financial goals for orders, sales, margins, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop a dynamic business plan to increase market share, promote next-generation informatics products, and meet budgets across regions and segments.
  • Build strategic customer relationships, especially with executive levels of major accounts, and ensure ongoing engagement by their teams.
  • Ensure a great customer experience through high customer engagement and success focus from sales and support teams.
  • Develop direct reports to improve sales performance and support career growth.
  • Manage Field Sales Team and key customer activities.
  • Achieve annual operating plans, accurate forecasting, and maintain Salesforce compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's or PhD in scientific fields like chemistry, biology, or biochemistry preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably with CDS, ELN, SDMS, SaaS solutions in a GxP environment.
  • Previous sales management experience preferred.
  • Experience with Waters Informatics Products, especially Empower Software, is a plus.
  • Proven success in sophisticated selling environments, including enterprise software or high-tech instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of IT systems, networking, Windows domains, client/server, databases, and cloud computing.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and regulated markets.
  • Experience with CRM and other sales/customer platforms.
  • Broad business and financial acumen with knowledge of sales tactics and services.
