HCR Permanent Search is currently partnering with a top manufacturing company in Newmarket that is seeking to hire an Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as an Operations Manager or Plant Manager within an automotive welding and assembly manufacturing environment. The company offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $140,000 per year, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for career growth.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1. Previous experience as an Operations Manager or Plant Manager in an automotive welding and assembly manufacturing company.
2. Technical education in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, Maintenance).
3. Experience managing teams such as Maintenance, Production, Tooling, Logistics, etc.
4. Good working knowledge of Automotive Core Tools: SPC, MSA, APQP, FMEA, PPAP.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Identify areas for production improvement and cost reduction while maintaining quality standards and ensuring employee safety.
2. Implement corrective actions to minimize waste and overtime.
3. Maintain a visible presence on the production floor.
4. Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
5. Foster a positive, productive, and communicative team environment.
6. Develop systems and processes to track and optimize productivity standards.
7. Develop, monitor, and manage plant manufacturing budgets.
