Overview

The Contingent Labour Office’s (CLO) mandate is to partner with the business to enable an expedited and customer-centric positive approach to engaging external resources. This mandate is achieved by:

  1. Utilizing internal contingent workforce expert practitioners, who continuously expand their skills and remain up-to-date on market intelligence.
  2. Acting as trusted advisors, to educate, challenge the status quo, and advise the business on creative approaches to find the right solutions.
  3. Delivering a customer-centric approach to the business and external resources by minimizing administration efforts, anticipating their needs, projecting a ‘how can I help you’ attitude, and actively collaborating with Hiring Managers to deepen relationships.

Location: Anywhere in Canada (virtual work opportunity, with 1-2 days in office per month for meetings)

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Leader of the Contract Labour Office (CLO), the Contract Manager will execute processes and solve challenges related to external resources—during setup, on contract, renewal, or departure—for all functions and locations across Canada (processing over 1000 external resources annually). Responsibilities include:

  • Applying technical expertise to advise and support Hiring Managers in engaging external resources.
  • Working independently on complex cases, escalations, and requests for effective and timely resolution.
  • Managing complex contract revisions, risk assessments, change management, and difficult relationships.
  • Handling matters related to classification, conflicts, immigration, taxation, data security, international services, security requirements, acquisitions, offshore resources, alliances, negotiations, and subsidiaries, often partnering with internal SMEs and external providers.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements (CRA, ESA, laws), firm policies, and guidelines concerning third-party resources, independence, tax, immigration, and data security.

The successful candidate's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Case Management (Standard & Complex)

  • Promoting CLO’s internal brand through a customer-centric approach.
  • Managing cases in KPMG’s vendor management system (Flextrack), training internal clients, and conducting due diligence.
  • Educating stakeholders, maintaining communication, documenting information, and identifying complex cases.
  • Managing escalations, mediating contract negotiations, drafting clauses, and conducting risk assessments.
  • Supporting change management, managing challenging relationships, and recommending process improvements.
  • Responding to inquiries, providing reporting, and leading education sessions.

What You Bring To The Role

  • College or University degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years’ experience with contract labour or contingent workforce case management, including drafting agreements and liaising with multiple parties.
  • Experience with immigration matters and bilingual (English/French) communication skills.
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver high-quality service.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel. Experience with ServiceNow and Flextrack is an asset.

This position requires fluency in English. Support and collaboration with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders will be necessary.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range

Base salary: $73,000 to $109,500, with potential bonuses, depending on location, skills, and qualifications. KPMG offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
