Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer medications (IM, SC, and IV as applicable) in home or specialty clinic settings.
- Support and monitor the administration of IV infusion treatments in the clinic and/or homecare setting.
- Monitor post-injection/infusion treatments and report all activities according to program protocols and professional nursing documentation standards.
- Provide patient education based on program protocols, either individually or in groups.
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints following Innomar training and policies.
- Ensure reliable availability based on employment agreements to meet the needs of the IBU and key performance indicators of Nursing and clinics.
- Coordinate daily with patients, case managers, physicians, scheduling, and other departments to meet established timelines for appointments, treatments, and communication.
- Perform administrative duties such as monthly clinic audits, supply ordering, and other assigned tasks.
- Participate regularly in team web-based meetings and training sessions with the Business Area Manager, RNE, and Nurse Champion to maintain and improve professional practice standards.
- Participate in specialized client-related training as required.
- Consult with physicians, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology clients regarding education and implementation of product-specific programs.
- Travel within your designated IBU and surrounding IBUs to meet operational needs.
- Follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Adhere to all health and safety standards as per provincial regulations.
- Complete ongoing and annual education and training within specified timeframes.
- Uphold professional nursing standards as prescribed by professional associations, regulatory bodies, and company policies.
- Perform related duties and tasks as required by Innomar.
- May be required to be on standby or on call to meet service needs.
Experience and Educational Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Practical Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Experience with IV therapy is an asset.
- Diploma or university degree in nursing or a related field.
- Current registration with the provincial licensing body and CPR certification.
- Experience in acute care inpatient, outpatient, or homecare settings.
- ACLS, PALS, MS, and CVAA certifications, and experience with central venous lines or ports are assets.
- Proficiency with cell phones for scheduling and confirming appointments, and familiarity with fax machines.
- Excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision within a team environment.
- Willingness to travel to clinics and homecare appointments within a set geographical area.

- Cell phone for making and confirming appointments and assignments.
- Flexibility to accommodate pre-scheduled and last-minute patient requests.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid, non-expired, unrestricted driver’s license and insurance coverage.
