Job Overview

ROLE DESCRIPTION AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this critical role, the Sr. Analyst Strategy will lead and support development of strategies through key responsibilities in four major areas :

1. Help the Segment and Business Units develop strategies that drive above-market organic and inorganic growth

2. Gather real-time input as the external environment evolves (e.g., technology, customer needs, regulations, competitors, etc.)

3. Help identify new growth platforms, growth opportunities within business units, and across businesses - through the identification of attractive market spaces, determining what it takes to win, assessing competitive position and business models, and then helping the organization to align on the strategic direction and execution plan

4. Drive change - helping to implement projects to execute on strategic objectives

Additional responsibilities include :

  • Collaborate within segment strategy and with global business unit teams to solve complex business problems
  • Effectively translate business requests into well-defined problems
  • Develop strategies and approaches to fulfil complex project assignments in creative and meaningful ways
  • Analyze industry structure, competitive dynamics, and market attractiveness to generate impact driven insights at global and regional levels
  • Identify key trends across markets, industries, and competitors that affect our businesses
  • Create analytical models to address key business questions and translate outputs into clear findings and recommendations
  • Create compelling storylines to support leadership fact-based decision making
  • Support the successful development and deployment of the annual strategy development process
  • Track execution of the long-term strategy through a select set of strategy-to-execution KPIs, synthesize implications to the strategic plan, and recommend potential course corrections
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and community building for the broader strategy community

In addition, successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience and skills :

  • A strategy practitioner with a track record of problem solving and dealing with strategic business issues (e.g. industry structure, operations strategy & finance)
  • Ability to structure and solve complex problems using a hypothesis-driven approach
  • Ability to structure work, manage strategy projects, and provide thought leadership
  • Ability to understand the big picture and prioritize key initiatives
  • Ability to architect and create strategy tools, frameworks, and processes
  • Strong oral and written communication skills - ability to synthesize and effectively communicate key messages

Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in management consulting or corporate strategy. Transportation / Mobility industry experience is a plus
  • Excellent with MS-Excel and MS-PPT
  • Experience interfacing with executives and C-suite through effective communication of ideas and plans
  • Track record of demonstrated leadership potential in a business environment
  • Sense of tact, confidentiality, and maturity

Academic education

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in technical discipline (Engineering, Quantitative, Finance) from a leading institution

GROWTH POTENTIAL
