Job description

Are you a data-driven marketer who loves turning insights into action? SMS Equipment is looking for a Performance Marketing Analyst to lead our search engine marketing (SEM) and pay-per-click (PPC) strategies, working both internally and with external vendors to drive campaign success. In this role, you will manage reporting and analytics, uncover key trends, and optimize digital marketing performance to maximize ROI. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with data, technology, and digital strategy, we want to hear from you.

The salary for this position is $90,000 - $98,000.

This role is based out of Acheson, AB and offers a hybrid work arraignment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Data Collection & Research

You will gather, organize, and maintain data from all marketing channels, including offline, owned, paid, and organic sources. Conducting competitor research and analyzing customer behavior will be key to supporting marketing strategies. You will also ensure data accuracy across systems like HubSpot, CRMSeries, and Google Analytics , while upholding data integrity and privacy compliance.

  • Analytics & Insights

You will analyze marketing performance to identify trends and opportunities for growth. Your insights will drive strategic decisions and campaign optimizations, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Additionally, you will set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure marketing effectiveness.

Developing and maintaining interactive dashboards will be a crucial part of the role. You will track website traffic, conversions, email marketing performance, and ad engagement, providing regular reports with actionable recommendations.

  • SEM & PPC Campaign Management

You will manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and Meta . Running A / B and multivariate tests, collaborating with external agencies, and adjusting budgets based on performance metrics will be key to ensuring campaign success.

Staying up to date on emerging digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices is essential. You will also participate in industry workshops and internal training , including SMS Equipment's heavy equipment industry education , to remain in tune with customer needs.

Qualifications :

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in commerce, marketing, statistics, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of digital marketing experience with a focus on SEM and PPC. Additional qualifications include :

  • Strategic thinking and creative problem solving with a strong ability for campaign planning and forecasting.
  • Experience with Google products , including GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads.
  • Familiarity with paid social platforms, particularly LinkedIn and Meta .
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives that simplify complex concepts into clear and engaging formats tailored for the target audience.
  • A solutions-oriented team player who thrives in both collaborative and independent work environments.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
