We seek a dynamic, highly motivated Early Years Facilitator who embodies compassion, accountability, responsiveness, and empowerment.

The role involves delivering services at an EarlyON Child and Family Centre, with work locations in Hamilton, based on enrollment and operational needs. This is a unionized, full-time, permanent position, offering $23.58/hour, with 2 positions available. The shift is rotating, from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday, totaling 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan, develop, and implement programs for children and families at Wesley EarlyON, maintaining program statistics within targets.
  2. Assist families with KeyON registration and accessing community services.
  3. Provide relevant community and Wesley services information and make appropriate referrals.
  4. Welcome and support program participants, being sensitive to diverse families including cultural, LGBTQ+, and young parents.
  5. Ensure compliance with legal requirements, including reporting serious occurrences.
  6. Base programming on the Ministry of Education’s pedagogy, “How Does Learning Happen?”
  7. Create and maintain a child-friendly environment with proper supervision.
  8. Facilitate workshops as needed.
  9. Participate in team meetings and staff development, staying current with early learning trends.
  10. Follow program and Wesley policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education, with current registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • At least two years of recent experience in an EarlyON setting with community partners.
  • Proficiency with KeyON and experience using the application.
  • Knowledge of the Infant and Early Years Mental Health Pathway.
  • Skills in collaborating with community partners on early learning initiatives.
  • Sensitivity working with diverse families, including urban, cultural, LGBTQ+, and young parents.
  • Current First Aid/CPR, Safe Food Handling, NVIC, ECERS, and evidence-based parenting workshops.
