Job summary

Kids & Company in Ottawa is seeking on-call RECEs to support our childcare services. You will help with documentation, implement an emergent curriculum, and support children's overall development in a collaborative team.

Qualified candidates are registered with the College of ECE, have a current Vulnerable Sector Check, and hold Standard First Aid/CPR Level C, with immunizations and TB test up to date. Lifting up to 45 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• Registered with the College of ECE and in good standing.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C.
• Up-to-date immunization records and two-step TB test.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation, reporting, and record keeping.
• Implement an Emergent Curriculum.
• Support children’s emotional, physical, and behavioral well-being while fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
• Maintain attendance and health and safety checks.
• Collaborate with Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists.
• Support children through classroom transitions.
• Meet all classroom ratios as outlined in CCEYA.
• Participate in team meetings and workshops.

ECE Credential in good standing
