Job summary

Kids & Company is seeking on-call supply RECEs at our Waterdown location to support classrooms and maintain a safe, nurturing environment for children. You will collaborate with teachers and therapists, follow the emergent curriculum, and help with documentation, attendance, and health and safety. Canadian experience is not required; join a supportive team focused on growth and well-being of kids.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the College of ECE and in good standing.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C.
• Immunization records up-to-date and two-step TB test.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation, reporting, and record keeping.
• Implement an Emergent Curriculum.
• Support children’s emotional, physical, and behavioral well-being while fostering development.
• Maintain attendance and health and safety checks.
• Collaborate with professionals such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists.
• Support children through classroom transitions.
• Meet all classroom ratios as outlined in CCEYA.
• Participate in team meetings and workshops.
